We’re at 1313 N. Ritchie Court.

There’s valet parking directly across the street at 1310 N. Ritchie Court and also at 1350 N. Lake Shore Drive with the parking entrance on the north side of the intersection of Banks and Ritchie.





How can I pay?
We accept cash, American Express, Visa, Mastercard
and Discover.

Can I leave a tip on my credit card?
We do not accept gratuities on credit cards or checks.  Please handle any gratuity directly with your technician.

Do you have a cancellation policy?
Joseph Michael’s Salon and Spa has a 24 hour cancellation policy.  A credit card number will be required to secure spa services.  Please give us the courtesy of cancelling at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time, otherwise we will need to charge you the full service price. Thank you for your understanding.

Do you accept returns on retail products?
Of course we do. If, for any reason, you are unhappy with a product, please return it within two weeks of your purchase, and we will give you a store credit for the amount of your original purchase...no questions asked.  We want you to find the product that is right for you.    If you are a regular client, we will have a record of your purchase.  For retail only clients, we will need a receipt.

Do I need to wash my hair before I come?
No. If you’re getting a haircut, perm, or color, we’ll take care of all that for you. If you’re having your hair “put up” for a special occasion, we recommend that you DO wash your hair the evening before.  Your “do” will stay more securely if your stylist doesn’t have to shampoo and blow dry your hair on the day of your event.

Can I bring my dog with me when I am having services?
As much as we love our furry companions, the salon and spa is not a good environment for pets. Besides the fact that it is against city and state health regulations to have animals in the salon and spa, we also have to consider our clients who may be allergic or not as ‘in-love’ with pets as others may be.  We have also found that because of the different chemicals and heavy aromas that we use at times combined with animal’s acute senses, it can actually irritate your pet to be in the salon and spa.

I have allergies; can I bring my own shampoos and conditioners?
Absolutely.  We understand that many natural based products – and even those that are hypo-allergenic – may cause an adverse reaction to those with sensitive skin.  If you have a product that works for you, please feel free to bring it in.

Do I need to get undressed for my massage?
This is a personal call.  You may wish to keep your undergarments on during the massage, or you may wish to disrobe completely.  In either case, you are always professionally draped throughout the service.

Do you accept Spa Finder Gift Certificates?
Yes, we do.  We invite you to use Spa Finder Gift Certificates for any spa services.  We cannot accept Spa Finder Gift Certificates for retail purchases or for hair or nail services.  We do not accept Spa Finder Gift Certificates for any services already on promotion, for example our seasonal Spa Sensations.
